IIM Bangalore announced the national roll-out of Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship programme in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development, GOI.
HIGHLIGHTS
The programme will be hosted by nine IIMs with IIM Bangalore managing the common admission process.
The fellowship is a unique opportunity to combine classroom sessions at IIM with engagement in the district economies to promote skill development.
Synopsis
The two-year academic programme will have in-built component of on-ground practical experience with the district administration. The nine IIMs include the IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Visakhapatnam, IIM-Udaipur, IIM Nagpur, IIM Ranchi and IIM-Jammu.

The ministry had launched a pilot programme in 69 districts during which 69 fellows were trained.
In a bid to strengthen skills training at district level, the skills development ministry on Saturday launched the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) programme natiowide in partnership with nine Indian Institures of Management across India. The progtranmme has been launched under under the World Bank loan assisted programme SANKALP (Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion).

The Financial Times’ Global MBA ranking that lists the top 100 business schools in the world is out and the Indian School of Business (ISB) has secured the 23
rd rank in 2021.
A total of five Indian B-schools have been ranked among the top 100 colleges offering MBA courses. This includes four Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), namely, IIM Bangalore (35), IIM Calcutta (44), IIM Ahmedabad (48), and IIM Indore (94), respectively.
