35-year-old woman killed in head-on collision in Adams County: state police Updated Jan 09, 2021; A 35-year-old woman died early Thursday morning when she crossed the center lines on a Union Township road and rammed into another vehicle head-on, Pennsylvania State Police said. Heather L. Peter, of Gettysburg, was driving east on Hanover Road near Geiselman Road around 6:51 a.m. when she crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a Subaru Forester driven by a 58-year-old Hanover woman, according to state police. The 58-year-old woman tried to move out of the way but the two vehicles collided, and Peter’s vehicle spun 90 degrees before coming to a rest, state police said. Authorities said the 58-year-old’s vehicle spun 45 degrees and hit a guardrail.
