(File photo) Power has been restored to 4000 customers in Lower Hutt, as the grid operator continues to fix the cause of the fault. Howard Smith of Wellington Electricity said the fault occurred at a substation which was fed by a major Transpower feed and supplied power into the Wellington network. The problem was first reported at 12.55pm. Transpower, which operates the National Grid, was still working on the cause of the problem, Smith said. Laura Ackland​ at Transpower said the network had lost about 10 megawatts of power due to the fault.
