BISMARCK North Dakota is a step closer to beginning its redistricting process, as an amended House Bill 1397 cleared the House last week and was sent to the governor’s desk.
Senate amendments to the bill would make redistricting drafts available to the public online through meeting agendas or hyperlinks, addressing one of the chief criticisms of the original bill.

BISMARCK A suite of North Dakota proposals targeting the high costs of prescription drugs were either tossed out or substantially watered down this legislative session, but advocates of the programs say new conversations on the topic laid groundwork for future state action.
Three bills introduced by Republican Sen. Howard Anderson, of Turtle Lake, each looked north to Canada for possible solutions to runaway costs for prescription drugs. Prices on many medications have skyrocketed in the United States since the 1990s, and the trend has lately become an issue of bipartisan consensus in other states and on Capitol Hill.

Mr. Ray Charles “Curly” Anderson, 55, of Watertown passed away on April 13, 2021. He was born in Murfreesboro, TN on January 8, 1966. Preceding him in death were his father, Howard Anderson, and brothers, Steve and Paul Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Gabriele Anderson of Watertown; sons, Justin (Heather Franklin) Anderson of Lebanon and Josh Anderson of Savannah, GA; daughter, Stephanie (George) O’Donnell of LaVergne; brothers, Alvin Johnson and Howard Anderson, Jr., Eddie, Tommy, Tony, Christopher, Jeffery, and Michael Anderson; sister, Donna Folk; grandchildren, Gracie Brand, Kenzie Brand, Allie Jones, and Tanner O’Donnell; and tons of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
