Police stopped a number of youths at Holme Wood in a Trojan bus operation A NUMBER of youths were stopped on the Holme Wood estate on Friday as part of a Trojan bus operation targeting anti-social and nuisance behaviour. Officers from the Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team posted on Facebook: On the evening of Friday, April 23, officers from Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team, Bradford Special Constabulary and Bradford ASB Team deployed in partnership with First Bus as part of Operation Trojan Bus to tackle anti-social behaviour, criminal damage and nuisance behaviour in the Holme Wood estate. A successful operation saw a number of youths stopped. All will be dealt with appropriately through anti-social behaviour partnership working. Thankfully, on the evening no damage was caused to buses or cars.

The latest insights, compiled by online estate agents Property Solver, reveal that on average it takes more than three months (14.6 weeks) for a house to sell across the district. It also revealed that on average, houses in the Bradford district sell for £5,410 less than their asking price. Dean Doyle (left) and John Doyle (right) Two brothers have each been jailed for five years after a shotgun was fired through a house window at an address in the Holme Wood area of Bradford. John Doyle, 34, of Oddy Street, Tong, Bradford, and Dean Doyle, 39, of Carrbottom Road, Greengates, Bradford, were sentenced at Bradford Crown Court for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. John Doyle pleaded guilty to that offence and to two charges of making a threat to kill the father and son whose property was targeted. Dean Doyle was convicted of the firearm offence after a trial. He also admitted conspiracy to supply Class A drugs on December 3, 2017, and dangerous driving. He was jailed for a total of nine years.
Weapons, Drugs and Cash Seized Following Two Days of Action in Bradford

Two days of action in Bradford has resulted in seizures of cash, drugs and weapons.
Over the past few days, teams in Bradford have conducted a series of warrants in the Holmewood area of Bradford.
The operation was led by Bradford South NPT and supported by Bradford Programme Precision team and Operational support.
The aim of the days of action was to tackle and disrupt criminality in the area.
During the operations, officers stop searched a car with two males in it – seized quantity of Class A drugs and cash. Both males were arrested.
