SERIOUS concerns have been raised about the future running of a Wrexham GP surgery. The Leader reported recently how the GP partners at Forge Road Surgery in Southsea decided to resign their General Medical Services contract with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This means management of the practice will transfer over to the health board on June 1, after which there will be a period of consolidation and review . Gwenfro Councillor Nigel Williams said he has been made aware of many difficulties residents residents have experienced with the surgery over the last year and he now has concerns about what will happen next.
