The bakery is the Hutchinson / Reno County Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Month
She was six months into operating her new Main Street bakery – itself a project more than a decade in the making – when the novel coronavirus pandemic hit.
“We had a strong first holiday season and were plugging along, starting to get our name out there, getting people to recognize we served lunch,” said Holly Thomas, owner of Holly’s Sweet Treats, 205 S. Main.
Then she heard the NCAA had postponed the national basketball tournament, then canceled it, and that Disneyworld was shutting down.
