Remains of a San Antonio woman identified after more than three years

Baton Rouge / louisianaradionetwork.com May 28, 2021 | 12:08 PM A human skull found in Cameron Parish more than three years ago has been identified as a missing 58-year old San Antonio woman. Cameron Parish Sheriff Ron Johnson said it was a computer-generated image of the head that led a concerned citizen to connect the dots and dental records confirmed the findings. “We had one particular citizen who kept digging, and kept digging, and kept digging and looking at faces, and there on May the 20th she found this lady, Mrs. Sally Hines,” Johnson said. 58-year-old Hines went missing in December of 2017 and a clean-up crew found the head on highway 27 between Hackberry and Holly Beach in March of 2018.

May 28, 2021 A human head that was found in Louisiana more than three-years ago is now identified as that of a missing San Antonio woman. Officials say 58-year-old Sally Hines was reported missing in December 2017. A Cameron Parish Sheriff s Office litter cleanup team found the head in March 2018 on Highway 27 north of Holly Beach in the Sabine Refuge area. Detectives acted on a tip received last week about a computer-generated picture created by LSU Faces Lab. Hines was identified Wednesday through her dental records.
