A host of consultants have scored places on two fire safety frameworks worth £10m.
The deals, which have been awarded by housing association L&Q, cover fire engineering and inspection services across its properties for the next four years.
One of the housing association’s upcoming schemes is a 441-home project at a former car dealership site in Brentford, west London, designed by Hawkins\Brown
Firms to bag spots on the frameworks include Ridge, Hoare Lea, PRP Architects and Hydrock.
Three companies, CHPK, International Fire Consultants and Vemco Consulting, landed places on both deals.
The work has been designed to provide fire engineering and inspection services for L&Q’s self-delivered new-build projects.

The building will also be home to a new institute for antimicrobial research, following a £100 million donation from chemicals giant Ineos.
The project will sit on the site of Leslie Martin’s recently flattened 1970s Tinbergen building, which is bounded by St Cross Road to the east, South Parks Road to the north and other university land to the south and west.

Manchester City Council is proposing a 92,000 sq ft secondary school on the site of the former Showcase Cinema on Hyde Road in Gorton.
The school would be operated by the Co-Op Academies’ Trust, which runs 25 education facilities in the North of England.
The 1,200-place facility, designed by Space Architects, would be built by contractor Sir Robert McAlpine to open in time for the 2022/23 academic year, subject to planning approval.
There would be a three-storey main school building linked to a sports hall block of two-storeys. In addition, the project features a 93-space car park, a drop-off area, grass football pitches and tennis and basketball courts.
