That incident, we ve moved on from it, Nichols said. We don t even speak about it.
Nichols, who was brought on as an assistant during the 2017-18 season, has stepped in as the Lions interim coach. The 1995 Roosevelt graduate shares a close relationship with Moore, and even though his brother can t be on the sidelines with him, Nichols has vowed to do everything he can to steer the team in the right direction.
So far, so good.
More than 12,000 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19 since March 2020. There are real names, faces and human stories behind that staggering number. This Sunday, The Times partners with 11 Indiana news agencies to share the stories of dozens of âHoosiers Weâve Lostâ in a special print section and online presentation. Watch for it Sunday.
The three-hour class was meant to give women and girls the basics to confidently fight back if they were attacked with yelling to startle their attacker and draw the attention of others and a series of hits, punches and kicks to keep a criminal at bay.

INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) The Indiana Economic Development Foundation and The STARTedUP Foundation are looking for applicants in this year’s Innovate WithIN pitch competition. The statewide initiative allows high school students, as individuals or teams, to present their entrepreneurial ideas for a chance to win $25,000 in funding, scholarships and other prizes.
This is the fourth year for the competition with last year’s event featuring more than 400 students from 50 schools throughout the state.
“Innovate WithIN gets Hoosier students plugged in to Indiana’s thriving and engaged entrepreneurial community,” Governor Eric Holcomb said in a news release. “This program fosters a pioneering spirit among our leaders of tomorrow, and every year I’m amazed by the innovative ideas these students pitch and the hard work they put into their business plans.”
Then, it all came crashing down. I knew something wasn t right for sure just because I couldn t really put too much pressure on (my left knee), Glass said. But for the first week, I didn t even know that (my left ACL) was torn, and our trainers were telling me that it might have been something with my hamstring. I didn t find out until about a week later when I took an MRI. That s when they told me.
Glass said he sustained his season-ending knee injury after catching a pass and planting awkwardly in a Week 6 win at LaPorte on Sept. 25. He walked off the field under his own power thinking he would return, but when it was confirmed that Glass high school football career was over, he was heartbroken.
