Construction of the InterContinental is scheduled to begin in October, and the new hotel will open in early 2023. The renovated property will have 390 rooms and a rooftop restaurant and bar.

Big V Acquisitions LLC has a purchase agreement with Hines Global REIT San Antonio Retail I LP, a subsidiary of HGR Liquidating Trust, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
