Nearly 100 senior housing units proposed for Worcester s Lincoln Square

The former Boys Club building in Worcester s Lincoln Square is being proposed for redevelopment as part of a 95-unit senior living facility. The project would be built by Boston-based WinnCompanies, the same firm that created the Voke Lofts apartments a block away and the Canal Lofts on Water Street. The development is slated to begin next year. As a first step, Winn needs City Council approval to construct a new five-story addition to the old Boys Club to include 64 of the project s units. Some of the building would rise over a road tunnel that passes under Lincoln Square, for which Winn is proposing to pay the city $100,000 for what are known as air rights for building above the roadway.

Ontario adds three Haliburton Pharmacies to vaccine rollout, no doses yet though

SHARE ON: Photo provided by the Ontario Government Ontario announced another 700 pharmacies across the province will start offering the AstraZeneca vaccine to individuals aged 55 and older starting Monday. The province did note however that not all of the new pharmacies will start vaccinating at the same time. As these additional pharmacies start to offer the COVID-19 vaccine, they will be added to the province’s list of vaccine locations. This expansion will bring the total number of pharmacies offering the vaccine to over 1,400 locations and is expected to reach 1,500 by the end of April. The new list includes three pharmacies in the County of Haliburton, Rexall and Shopper’s Drug Mart on Highland Street as well as the Drugstore Pharmacy on County Road 21, however, as of this morning, none of the pharmacies have received any shipments of vaccines.
