Image Source: IANS News Hyderabad, Feb 8 : Over 19,000 frontline workers in Telangana were administered Covid-19 vaccine on Monday. For the second day, vaccination was conducted across the state for frontline workers like police personnel, Municipal, Panchayat Raj Institutions, Revenue employees and personnel of central police forces. Out of 51,500 beneficiaries to be vaccinated on Monday, 19,923 or 41 per cent got vaccinated at 584 centres. With this, cumulative frontline workers vaccinated so far increased to 35,360 or 38 per cent of 93,489 beneficiaries planned to be targetted.

New police stations inaugurated Updated: Updated: Share Article AAA Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali on Thursday appreciated the police’s work during COVID - 19 outbreak and said that they have adopted a friendly policing approach. He was speaking at the inauguration of the new building of the Nampally Law and Order and Traffic Police Stations. Mr Ali also pointed out that representatives from other States have been coming to Telangana to understand its system of policing. He also said that the Telangana Police is the leading police force in the country. DGP M Mahender Reddy pointed out that the Telangana government has sanctioned as many as 19 law and order police stations and six traffic police stations. A single police system has been implemented in the State. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said four persons have been trained in each police station and that they are working as receptionists who are assisting victims who approach the police station.

Share Via Email   |  A+A A- By Express News Service HYDERABAD: Maina Ramulu, a serial killer who murdered 18 women in the last 24 years, has been arrested by Hyderabad Task Force sleuths for his two latest killings one in Ghatkesar under Rachakonda police limits and the other in Mulugu in Siddipet. He reportedly killed them after trapping them at toddy compounds. An analysis of over 500 CCTV cameras led to his arrest, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said. After his wife left him for another man, 45-year-old Ramulu bore a grudge against womankind and ever since, has killed 18 women.

Hyderabad police arrests former Andhra minister Akhila Priya over abduction case

Hyderabad: Former Andhra Pradesh minister Akhila Priya was taken into custody on Wednesday in connection with the abduction of a former badminton player Praveen Rao and his two brothers, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said. Priya’s husband Bhargava Ram and another relative were also detained and were being questioned by the police. According to police sources, Praveen Rao and his two brothers, Sunil Rao and Naveen Rao, were abducted from their house in Manu Vikas Nagar colony in Secunderabad on Tuesday evening, creating a sensation in the city. Quickly responding to the family’s complaint, police identified the two cars in which the three brothers were taken to a farmhouse in Vikarabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad and rescued them. The abductors had also taken away their phones and laptop with them.
