The opening of Livestock Expo 2021 on Saturday was marked by a fiery speech by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who dubbed the election for the office of Senate chairperson held the previous day as the “worst in the history of Pakistan.”
“The country will remember the Friday’s election as the worst ever conducted in the country,” he said while speaking to media persons. “The Senate is formed through the votes of the members of provincial assemblies, and we being the MPAs will fight for our votes,” he vowed.

The Pakistan Democratic Movement s February 9 power show in Hyderabad will be manned by over 2,500 policemen headed by senior superintendents of police (SSPs) of nine districts of the province. According to the security plan prepared by the police on Sunday, the site of the public meeting as well as the routes leading towards that area has been divided into six security zones, four of which will be supervised by the SSPs.
With the date of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) public meeting in Hyderabad drawing closer, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reviewed the arrangements for the event. Later, he mobilised the party's supporters in his constituency in Jamshoro district, addressing the people at multiple places and inviting them to attend the public meeting.
Hyderabad citizens face acute water shortage as suspension comes without notice
HYDERABAD:
Cropping up as a stark reminder of the civic agencies blatant disregard towards vulnerabilities of the consumers, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) created an acute water shortage for a large segment of Hyderabad s population by Sunday. The situation, which stemmed from rupture in main pipelines of 18 inch diameter a week ago in Qasimabad, persisted through Monday evening.
Another pipeline of the same size in Qasimabad went burst some days ago, further compounding the problem.
The pressure of the water supply for almost all of Qasimabad was lowered a week ago, and on Saturday the supply was halted altogether.
