Offshore project commitments count set for record in coming years, deepwater to have top growth - Rystad Energy

Offshore project commitments are expected to not only recover going forward, but their number is also set to reach a new record in the five-year period towards 2025, cumulatively almost 600 projects, a
Rystad Energy report shows. Deepwater commitments will enjoy the largest growth as their cost has now become much more competitive against greenfield continental shelf reserves.
For the purpose of this analysis, we have defined that a project is
committed when more than 25% of its overall greenfield capex is awarded through contracts.
Solstad Offshore announces contract awards for the Normand Fortress and Normand Mermaid

CSV Normand Fortress has secured a contract with UK based contractor
Manor Renewable Energy for operation on a
UK wind farm. The contract is scheduled to commence in October 2021, in continuation of the former announced contract with MHI Vestas (reference made to press release dated 01st Feb), keeping the vessel fully utilized into 1Q 2022.
CSV Normand Mermaid has been awarded a contract with an international seabed seismic company. The vessel will be used for their
deep-water Ocean Bottom Node baseline survey project offshore Angola. The project will commence in 2Q 2021.
UK: UKOG s appeal against refusal of planning consent for the Loxley gas project scheduled for July 2021

UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) has announced that its appeal against Surrey County Council s ( SCC ) refusal of planning consent for the
Loxley gas project will now be heard at a public inquiry to commence on Tuesday 27th July 2021.
The Planning Inspectorate s formal appeal process has an effective start date of March 1st and culminates with the public inquiry, scheduled for up to nine days. Based upon the earlier than expected inquiry date and the inspectorate s average post-inquiry decision timescales, the inspector s ruling is likely to be issued in autumn 2021.
Hornsea 1 Limited, a joint venture owned by Ørsted (50%) and Global Infrastructure Partners (50%), has signed an agreement for the sale of its transmission assets to Diamond Transmission Partners Hornsea One Limited. The transmission assets hold an asset value of GBP 1.175 billion.
