Centurion Mehidy Hasan leads the team off on the second day © BCB Bangladesh off-spinner Mehidy Hasan credited seniors for helping him with his batting that enabled him to score his maiden Test ton against West Indies at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury on Thursday. Mehidy, coming to bat at number eight after the departure of Liton Das, played a superb knock of 103 runs from 168 balls which propelled Bangladesh to a formidable total in the first innings. He became the fourth cricketer from Bangladesh to score a Test hundred batting at number eight after Mahmudullah, Khaled Mashud and Sohag Gazi. He thanked the senior trio - Shakib al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim - for guiding him as a batsman.
