Officers in Rochford say they have dished out 19 fines so far after addressing concerns over speeding. The operational policing command have been targeting a number of areas after concerns were raised by members of the public. Some of the locations they have visited have included Victoria Road, Helena Road, High Road, and London Road in Rayleigh. They have also carried out operations in Greensward Lane in Hockley, Rectory Road, Ashingdon Road, Brays Lane in Rochford, and Shoebury Road and High Street in Great Wakering. A police spokesman said: The aim is always to reduce risk to life and serious injury, however, whilst being visible and using speed recording devices.
