Rostam has shared a new song called âChangephobia,â the title track and latest single of his forthcoming album.
Changephobia is due out June 4 via his own label Matsor Projects. Check out the title track, featuring a baritone sax solo from Henry Solomon, below. Â
Ahead of âChangephobia,â Rostam shared the songs â4Runner,â âThese Kids We Knew,â and âUnfold You.â In a statement, Rostam said of writing the âChangephobiaâ:
âChangephobiaâ was one of the last songs I finished writing for this album. The chorus came to me sitting at the piano in my living room; I spent weeks picking up and putting down ideas for the verses. One day I sat down with an acoustic guitar, feeling close to giving up on the song altogether: all of a sudden a new melody, a new feeling, and new words came out of me and I felt like I could be honest with myself about what I wanted to say. Haim have captured the rollercoaster of 2020 in a funky music video for their new song, ‘Christmas Wrapping 2020 (all I want for christmas is a vaccine)’.
A unique, Hanukkah-centric take on The Waitresses’ 1982 smash ‘Christmas Wrapping’, Haim’s original lyrics were penned by
Slave Play writer Jeremy O. Harris. Their rendition features bass by Thundercat and other instrumental contributions from Henry Solomon and Frank Ocean collaborator Buddy Ross.
