A CHESHIRE man has been jailed for snatching bags from women, leaving one of his victims needing hospital treatment and unable to walk unaided. Anthony Parton grabbed hold of the bag belonging to a woman in her 70s as she walked along Coronet Way on July 27 last year. The 32-year-old, of Deacon Road, Widnes, pulled the bag so hard that the victim lost her footing and she fell, injuring her back, wrist and thigh and Parton yanked the bag from her grasp as she lay on the floor. His first attack was on a woman in her 40s as she walked along Henderson Road on July 22 and he dumped both handbags after stealing small amounts of cash.
