Stratford resident facing impaired charges

A Stratford resident is facing impaired charges after a failed roadside test this past weekend in Kippen.
Just after 1:30 Saturday morning, police say the driver of a sedan entered into a RIDE checkpoint that was set up at the intersection of Highway 4 and Kippen Road.
A Huron County Ontario Provincial Police officer reported they spoke with the driver and upon doing so made some observations that the driver had consumed some alcohol.
Police say the driver failed a roadside screening test that was conducted.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP Detachment for breath tests which were both above the legal limit.
