It s the perfect time of year to see the beautiful wildflowers of Texas. Take a drive on the Wildflower Trails of Texas then check out the fun at the 51st Annual Wildflower Trails of Texas Festival in Linden.
The actual Wildflower Trails of Texas to drive is on Highways 49, 155, and 11 between Avinger, Hughes Springs, and Linden. Their site says that the last weekend of April is the best time to check out this trail to see the most wildflowers blooming in the fields.
The Wildflower Trails of Texas Festival will take place Friday, April 23 thru Sunday, April 25. There will be a lot of great live music all weekend. Friday night at 8PM the White Trash Wannabees will take the stage.
A Disney Celebration: Kingdom of the Sun Concert Band: The band will perform Disney favorites at 3 p.m. March 14 at the Ocala/Marion County Veterans Memorial Park, 2601 SE Fort King St., Ocala. Selections include “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Mary Poppins,” “The Bare Necessities,” and more. Free and open to the public; donations accepted.
