Inbee Park tied for lead at LPGA event in Singapore

SINGAPORE (AP) Hee Young Park birdied her final hole Friday to move into a tie for the lead with Inbee Park at the HSBC Women’s World Championship at Sentosa Golf Club.
Hee Young Park (68) and No. 2-ranked Inbee Park (69) had two-round totals of 11-under 133 at the LPGA event.
Inbee Park said she felt relieved after a birdie on the seventh hole.
“It was a little betrayal of my putter today,” Inbee Park said. “Misread a few putts, but I still feel like I fought pretty well, especially the front nine.”

Lydia Ko has made what she calls “a pretty good start” at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore, but sits five shots off the lead at the end of the opening round.
The Kiwi golfer finished the day at three-under on the Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, good enough to have her in a tie for 14th, and said she would hopefully “continue the momentum and keep building from today’s round”.

Lydia Ko is four shots off the lead after a strong second round in the LPGA Tour s HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore. Ko shot a 4-under-68 on a steamy Tanjong course at Sentosa Golf Club, following her round of 69 on Thursday. She started brilliantly with birdies on the first, third and fifth holes, then shot par on the next six holes. She had birdies on the 12th and 13th, but bogeyed the 15th, finishing with par on the final three holes.

First-round leader Inbee Park carded a 3-under 69 on Friday and Hee Young Park joined her at 11 under with a 69 in the second round at the New Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club.
Inbee Park, who has hit 27 of 28 fairways, finished the front nine with three straight birdies and ended the round with five birdies and two bogeys. It was a little betrayal of my putter today, she said. Misread a few putts, but I still feel like I fought pretty well. . I was just trying to get my momentum going, and No. 7 definitely did it and from there, the round was a bit easier. A little rough start.
