A daughter found the bodies of her parents inside their Hialeah apartment Tuesday morning in what police said was a murder-suicide.

Hialeah Police officials said the daughter entered the apartment and found the bodies with a firearm nearby.
Upon seeing the knife, in fear for his life, the other victim began to retreat. The defendant charged towards him, ultimately slashing him on the left forearm. He then turned his attention to the other man began chasing him while attempting to stab him.
The suspect lunged towards him as he was falling to the ground and slashed the other male victim on the right, upper thigh causing a deep laceration.
Sworn audio-recorded statements were taken from both victims which corroborated the incident.
Hialeah Police arrived on scene and the defendant was taken into custody without incident. Hialeah fire rescue responded and treated both patients at the scene before they were transported to the hospital for further treatment.
MIAMI â Around midnight, a man pulled up just past the driveway of Hector Rodriguez s home in Hialeah, Florida, got out of his van and poured a can of gasoline on Rodriguez s pickup truck, leaving a trail-like fuse of accelerant on the pavement.
At a safe distance, the man then lit the liquid trail. Seconds later flames engulfed the driver s side, hood and engine of Rodriguez s black Chevrolet Silverado.
As the arsonist fled in the van with the help of a getaway driver, Rodriguez heard the Chevy s alarm going off. He rushed outside with a fire extinguisher. His girlfriend grabbed a garden hose. Both tried to put out the blaze while standing behind a chain-link fence. Desperate, Rodriguez opened the gate and sprayed the extinguisher at close range, but it was too late.
