INDIANAPOLIS Indianapolis police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run that happened on the city s northeast side Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m.
According to IMPD, a person was hit and killed by a vehicle while walking near 38th Street and Hawthorne Lane near New Direction Church.
The coroner s office identified the victim on Monday as 45-year-old Tnielle McNeal.
Police have not released any details about the suspected driver. Police were able to determine from parts at the scene that the suspect s car is a white 2013-2015 Kia Optima. The Optima will have damage to the front corner of the passenger side, including missing the passenger side mirror.
