The local health unit reported one recovery and no new cases of COVID-19 in the County of Haliburton today(Wednesday).
Haliburton now stands at five active cases, with one more
previously reported case screening positive for a variant of concern in the county.
11 new cases were recorded by the health unit on Wednesday, four in Northumberland and seven in Kawartha Lakes.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit did a little over 650 tests for COVID-19 over the last two days. Even though the variants of concern have been counted in the data today it takes two weeks for the results to return from the lab and these cases have already been counted in previous daily case counts.

No change was reported to the COVID-19 case count in Haliburton on Saturday keeping the county at seven active cases.
Three cases and no recoveries were reported on Friday, with one probable case identified by the health unit in the county.
In addition, a workplace COVID-19 outbreak was declared at Summersweet Custom Design & Build Inc. in Haliburton on Friday.
Seven new cases were added district-wide on Saturday, four in Kawartha Lakes and three in Northumberland.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit did 745 tests for COVID-19 since Friday’s update.
The local health unit reported three new cases of COVID-19 in Haliburton today(Friday).
Five more locals recovered from the virus, placing the county at seven active cases.
16 new cases were reported in the rest of the district on Friday, 11 in Northumberland and five in Kawartha.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit did around 750 tests for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The local health unit added one new case of COVID-19 to the County of Haliburton today.
That places the county at nine active cases of the virus, 82 recovered and one death as of Thursday.
The health unit reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 throughout the district on Thursday, seven in Kawartha Lakes and three in Northumberland.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit did over 700 tests for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The local health unit reported four new cases of COVID-19 and two recoveries in Haliburton since Saturday.
The county now stands at 12 active cases with one more resident screening positive for a variant of concern.
In Kawartha Lakes, 11 cases and 13 recoveries were added placing Kawartha at 46 active cases.
The health unit also reported two more people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Kawartha in addition to declaring an outbreak today at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Lindsay.
25 new cases and double that in recoveries were reported in Northumberland bringing that county down to 93 active cases.
An outbreak was also declared in Northumberland on Sunday in the Grafton Post Office.
