HOLLAND There won t be a parade, immersion garden or carnival, but Tulip Time is slated to return in 2021.
An official event schedule was released on Tuesday, March 2, by the Tulip Time organization, which plans the festival of the same name.
Since 1929, Holland has blossomed with literally hundreds of thousands of tulips during the festival.
This year s schedule includes a pared-down list of events, including a virtual Tulip Time Run. Registrants will receive a participant bib and medal and can run anytime, anywhere. Running shirts and hoodies will be available.
The popular Artisan Market will also be going virtual. The event typically takes place in Centennial Park, but will instead move to the Tulip Time website from Saturday, April 24, through the end of the festival. The application deadline was Sunday, Feb. 28, and selected artists will be informed Friday, March 5.

Downtown Holland’s annual Girlfriends Weekend will return this year from March 5-7 but with changes in place to ensure public safety.
During Girlfriends Weekend, women are invited to spend three full days shopping, dining, wining and indulging in downtown Holland with their best friends. Unlike previous years, there are no large group events or a group Sunday brunch planned as part of this year’s Girlfriends Weekend to help protect the health and safety of attendees.
Participating shops and restaurants will be operating under current occupancy restrictions as mandated by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and attendees will be required to wear masks in all stores and restaurants and to practice safe social distancing.
