Fraud on Sheafe Street: At 3:54 p.m., a caller told police they had been receiving frequent robocalls claiming to be from Amazon, which the caller found threatening. Theft on Kent Street: At 4:31 p.m., a caller reported their wallet missing, telling police they believed someone had broken in and stolen it. Bicycle theft on St. Paul Street: At 4:43 p.m., police received a report of a stolen tandem bicycle. Tuesday, May 11 Suspicious person on Boylston Street: At 7:24 a.m., police received a call about a man who was reportedly chasing people with a stick. Police rendered assistance.

Cambridge Police Department Conducting Investigation At Cherry And Harvard Street, Two Victims Suffer Gunshot Injuries

Reply May 19, 2021 The Cambridge Police are conducting an active investigation after there was a ShotSpotter activation and reports for gunshots in the area of Cherry and Harvard Street early this morning at approximately 12:10 a.m. Subscribe More than six shell casings were located and recovered by the Cambridge Police following a preliminary investigation. There are two known victims reported at this time. Both men one in their mid-twenties and another in his mid-thirties are from Cambridge and were initially treated on-scene before being transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Multiple vehicles and and a building on Cherry Street also were damaged due to the gunshots. A vehicle was seen fleeing the area down Cherry Street towards Harvard Street following the report of gunshots. There have been no arrests made at this time.

Two Cambridge men injured in Port shooting Two Cambridge men are in the hospital after gunfire erupted in the Port early Wednesday morning. Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation and several reports of gunshots in the area of Cherry and Harvard streets around 12:10 a.m. May 19.  The two men – one in his mid-20s and the other in his mid-30s – are the only known victims at this time and were transported to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. More than six shells casings were found. Several cars and a Cherry Street building were damaged by the gunfire, police said.
