Just after 2am last Friday (21 May 2021), an off-duty police officer contacted emergency services after hearing a loud noise at a nearby supermarket at Cresthaven Avenue, Bateau Bay. The off duty senior constable – attached to Brisbane Water Police District – drove to the area, where he saw a white Pantech truck parked inside the front doors of the store.

Date Time Children in car involved in high-speed pursuit – Mooney Mooney Three children aged five and under have been found in a car being driven by an unlicensed driver involved in a pursuit with police in Sydney’s north-west overnight. About 11.20pm on Sunday 25 April 2021, officers from Kuring Gai Highway Patrol were conducting speed enforcement on the M1 motorway, Mooney Mooney, when they detected a Holden Commodore allegedly speeding; a pursuit was initiated when the driver failed to stop when directed. Police will allege the car reached speeds of up to 200km/h during the pursuit in a signposted 110km/h zone along the M1 motorway.
