HPD did release a statement Sunday saying that the department is currently conducting a death investigation at an apartment building in the 50 block of North High Street. Officers located a person who was dead after responded to a call on Sunday afternoon. No other details regarding the investigation have been released. Bryan Bassett, 32, and Curtis Glauser, 36, had escaped from Eastern Ohio Correction Center last Monday night. They are being held at the Rockingham-Harrisonburg Regional Jail. Officers with the Harrisonburg Police Department responded to the 800 block of Blue Ridge Drive Monday at 11:20 a.m. to assist the U.S. Marshals Service, which was looking for the two wanted individuals out of Ohio.
