One death related to coronavirus (COVID-19) – a 91-year-old woman – was recorded on Sunday. This brings the total number of deaths since March 2020, to ten.
Fourteen new positive cases were also recorded yesterday from the 262 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory, while 15 people were released from isolation.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness said the number of active cases now stands at 742. The new positive cases comprise seven men and seven women. Of these, five are individuals who would have been sent previously to the Harrison Point Isolation Facility for assessment.

One person tested positive for COVID-19 from the 574 tests completed by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday.
The 33-year-old male visitor, who is asymptomatic, arrived in Barbados on SVG Air on December 21, and was positive on his second test.
Barbados has now recorded 372 confirmed cases – 200 females and 172 males. Five people were discharged from the Harrison Point Isolation Facility today, bringing recoveries to 312. The number in isolation dropped to 53.
The laboratory performed 69 252 tests since February 2020.

Barbados’ confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) moved to 365 – 195 females and 170 males, after three people returned positive results from the 1 060 tests completed by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Sunday.
Those testing positive are a 44-year-old male visitor, who arrived on Jet Blue on December 26; and a 26-year-old male visitor and a 52-year-old female visitor, who each came into contact with a known case. They are all asymptomatic.
The number in isolation has increased to 53. No one was discharged from the Harrison Point Isolation Facility today, so recoveries remain at 305.

Those testing positive are a 44-year-old male visitor, who arrived on Jet Blue on December 26, and a 26-year-old male visitor and a 52-year-old female visitor, who each came into contact with a known case. They are all asymptomatic.
