Nevada County Partners with Tahoe Forest Hospital to vaccinate Tahoe-Truckee teachers

FROM A RELEASE: On Wednesday, Feb. 3, teachers from the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District received their first COVID-19 vaccinations, administered by Tahoe Forest Hospital staff and school nurses from Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. Tax Abatement Legislation Update On December 10, 2020, City Council voted to advance three bills related to the property tax abatement (described in detail in our last Bill No. 200653 reduces the benefits of the commercial/industrial tax abatement (the Ordinance 1130 abatement). This bill reduces the tax abatement to 90% of the value of the improvements for 10 years. This reduction would apply to all applications filed after December 31, 2021.

Nevada County Hospitals Receive First Shipment of COVID Vaccine On Thursday morning Nevada County received the first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine which included 975 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. These first doses are being distributed to our two hospitals, Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee and Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley and will be used to begin vaccinating our front-line health care workers.
