Paul Nicholls is not in a habit of comparing horses to the mighty Denman, winner of a Gold Cup and two Hennessy Gold Cups, but the trainer had little hesitation in likening Bravemansgame to ‘The Tank’ when the five-year-old won the Mansionbet Challow Hurdle at Newbury on Tuesday.

Last weekend brought with it yet another fantastic offering of racing throughout the UK. Photographer Bill Selwyn was on hand to capture some great moments from Ascot, where the highlight was two great horses Paisley Park and Thyme Hill doing battle in the Long Walk Hurdle.

PIC D’ORHY is fancied to make it third time lucky over fences with a victory in the Sky Bet Noel Novices’ Chase (3.05) at Ascot.
