Lanes reopen on I-43 SB between Hampton, Capitol after road repairs

MILWAUKEE - The two right lanes of I-43 southbound, between Hampton Avenue and Capitol Drive, were temporarily closed Friday, April 30 for emergency road repairs. All lanes reopened around 12:45 p.m.
For maintenance crews to safely complete the repairs, the Hampton Avenue entrance ramp to southbound I-43 was temporarily closed, as will the I-43 southbound exit ramp to Capitol Drive/Green Bay Avenue.

Generac Power Stage at Maier Festival Park
MILWAUKEE - Generac Power Systems and Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. announced on Friday, April 30 that work is moving forward on improvements planned to the new Generac Power Stage which will be unveiled in August.
A news release says the new Generac Power Stage features major improvements to the stage design and operations. During Summerfest, the stage will prominently feature state-of-the-art video screens and new performance production capabilities.

2 seriously injured in East Greenbush crash

The East Greenbush Police Department is asking for witnesses of a serious motor vehicle crash Thursday to come forward.
Police said they responded to the crash on Columbia Turnpike in the area of Hampton Avenue at 4:47 p.m.
Both drivers were taken to Albany Medical Center with injuries. Police said they are withholding names pending further investigation.
