CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A University of Cincinnati studentâs death is under investigation by the Ohio Department of Health and the Hamilton County Coronerâs Office, according to Coroner Lakshmi Kode Sammarco.
John Foleyâs death comes just one day after the 21-year-old received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, she said.
Foley, who is from the Columbus area, was found Sunday by his roommates, Sammarco says.
She says she has been in contact with the Ohio Department of Health and having discussions about it but is waiting on medical records and additional test results before determining cause of death.

The family of the University of Cincinnati student who died on Sunday is asking for the public to be patient as health officials investigate what caused his sudden death.
Various social media posts and blogs have speculated that 21-year-old John Foley s death is connected to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine he received.
On Tuesday, the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine was paused following guidance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Fairfield Twp. officers are investigating a double fatal, two-vehicle crash on Ohio 4 that happened Friday morning, the Journal-News reported.
A 2003 Toyota Corolla was headed south on Ohio 4/Hamilton-Middletown Road and driven by Terri Alcorn, 67, of Cincinnati, when it crossed the center of the road and struck a 2002 Toyota Sienna headed north, said Fairfield Twp. Police Sgt. Brandon McCroskey. The Sienna was driven by Janice King, 65, of Monroe.
Emergency crews were dispatched at 9:56 a.m. to Ohio 4 in front of Butler Tech in Fairfield Twp.
