Investment in UK tech start-ups continues to soar, with huge sums coming from Asian and Middle Eastern investors.
The amounts raised in the first half of 2021 have also almost surpassed the total amount raised during the whole of 2020, according to new data.
By the end of June, Asian and Middle Eastern investors had poured more than £1.7bn into UK tech companies, equating to 13.2% of total investments made in the country.
New figures compiled by Dealroom.co for the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s Digital Economy Council, show that 2021 is on track to be an even better year than 2020 for investment flows from Asia to the UK.

The legendary Chinese success story goes hand-in-hand with the evolution of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China’s Communist Revolution that began in 1945. The foundation of the CPC on 1 July 1921 signaled the end of some 200 years of China’s oppression by foreign powers, to western invasions and exploitation, grabbing China’s territories and especially her rich natural resources – and to gain trading advantages, including from the riches of China’s resources and crafts.
Once the battles begin, it’s multiple rounds of knock-down, drag-out fights highlighted with the explosive, computer-generated destruction of Hong Kong.
And, true fans of the Godzilla mythos are in for a real treat when a certain mechanized Titan shows up to the fight challenging both popular behemoths in a tag team royale.
