MINSK. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Former Belarusian presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya has described the decision to move the 2021 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Ice Hockey World Championship from Minsk as a victory for the people of Belarus. Today the Council of the International Ice Hockey Federation announced the transfer of the Ice Hockey World Championship. It is a victory, as there will not be an additional wave of repressions in order to purge the city ahead of the World Championship. It is a victory because the Belarusians had their way and did it together, Tikhanovskaya said in a statement published on Telegram on Monday.
