KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court was told that 13 banking transactions involving the accounts of Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng and his wife had no link to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
Lawyer Datuk Tan Hock Chuan, who represented Ng and his wife Lim Hwee Bin, said the monies that flowed into the bank accounts did not come from 1MDB and that there were bank documents to prove it.
He was submitting at the hearing of the government’s 1MDB-linked forfeiture suit against Ng, Lim and 16 others, including former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and members of his family.
Thirteen banking transactions between Aug 7,2015 and Aug 17,2018 involving millions of ringgit as well as US and Singapore dollars were the subject of the forfeiture against Ng and Lim.

Lawyer Tan Hock Chuan submitted that the affidavits of two investigating officers into the 1MDB affair alone do not provide proof of such linkage involving Roger Ng and his wife Lim Hwee Bin.
Tan is acting for Ng and Lim during today’s hearing of the government’s 1MDB-linked forfeiture suit against the couple and 16 others.
