Havre Police Department Michael Robert-Louis Belcourt of Havre, 31, was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault and tampering with a communication device and on a Justice or City court warrant after a caller on Second Street asked Tuesday at 11:54 a.m. for officer assistance with their boyfriend. A Fourth Avenue caller reported Tuesday at 2:32 p.m. that Social Security information had been stolen. A caller on Fifth Avenue reported Tuesday at 11:36 p.m. that a vehicle hit a dog near the former Taco John s building, and, while on the line, a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper stopped to assist the caller.

People at the Havre School Board meeeting Tuesday recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The board took numerous actions at the meeting and heard updates including on the situation with COVID-19 and plans to have the next school year as normal as possible, and on plans for graduation ceremonies.
In a series of unanimous votes the Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees canvased the results of the recent school board elections, provided academic excellence awards to students and approved a number of policy updates, as well as discussing the district s policies moving forward.
