Saudi Post has issued a postage stamp (two riyals category) and a post card (five riyals category) for Saudi Dakar Rally.
RIYADH The Saudi Post has documented many national and international events through the issuance of 18 postage stamps.
The postage stamps for 2020 documented many historical events, most notably the 75th anniversary of the Arab League, 20th anniversary of King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), as well as the stamps on the occasion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia s presidency of the G20, which were produced for the first time via an interactive technology.

Abu Dhabi: Saudi Arabia’s first train driver, Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al Dariwish, has died aged 96, local media reported.
Al Dariwish took over as the first locomotive operator of Saudi Arabia’s first rail line, between Riyadh and Dammam, opened in 1951. Previously, the job was limited to Americans.
Saudi Arabia is on track to develop its rail networks as part of a GCC-wide push to ramp up regional transportation, with the high-speed Haramain railway now operating at near-full capacity, Riyadh’s Metro almost complete and another 800km of track, along with sleeping coaches, added to the Kingdom’s North-South railway.
Haramain High-Speed Train between Makkah and Madinah via Jeddah Set to Resume

Saudi Arabian transport minister Saleh Al-Jasser has announced that the contractor will bear the costs of repairing Haramain High-Speed Railway station in Jeddah, after a fire broke out in the station in October 2019.
The Minister was visiting the site of the incident on Saturday.
Al Jasser says the contractor will complete the repairs before the next Haj season and that it is proceeding at an accelerated pace.
The countdown has begun for the resumption of service of Haramain High-Speed Train between Makkah and Madinah via Jeddah Airport station and the King Abdullah Economic City of Rabigh.
