Even though Fonda has kissed some famous Hollywood hunks, like Robert Redford who she locked lips with in multiple films, her best kiss actually came off-screen. While performing summer stock in Hyannis Port, Maine, Fonda developed a crush on James Franciscus.
“He walked me out to the end of a pier and he kissed me,” Fonda recalled. “The stars began to whirl and the pier began to shake, and my knees gave way and I slid down to a pile at his feet.”
