Hubbard Lake woman arrested for possession of meth – WBKB 11

ALPENA COUNTY, Mich.   A Hubbard Lake woman has been arraigned on one count possession of controlled substance methamphetamine. Michigan State Police said 37-year-old Ashley Nicole Nolan was stopped on December 8 on M-32 near near M-65 in Green Township for a motor vehicle code violation. MSP said she was found to be in possession of meth and was arrested and lodged in the Alpena County Jail. Nolan appeared in the 88th District Court in Alpena on December 10 where bond was set at $25,000 cash surety.  Her next scheduled court appearance is on January 6.

ALPENA A heavy and wet blanket of snow covered Northeast Michigan during a winter storm that blew through the region over the weekend, dropping 13.7 inches of snow and causing thousands of power outages. Meteorologist Matt Gillen, with the National Weather Service in Gaylord, said Alpena County was “the sweet spot” for this storm. He said their official observer out of Alpena observed 13.7 inches of snow as of Sunday morning. “That is actually, since records began in 1916, that is the tenth snowiest day on record,” Gillen said, noting the first snowiest day on record produced 18.2 inches of snow on Feb. 22, 1922.
