Nex Cubed says it has launched a virtual, summer startup acceleration program, focused on founders from historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). According to the company, participants in its program will receive $10,000 in non-dilutive capital, technical resources to develop a minimally viable products, physical working space in Silicon Valley, business advice, as well as service provider perks and discounts. Nex Cubed, led by CEO Marlon Evans. Twelve different founders are part of the program.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - National Trust of Historic Preservation said this month theyâll give $650,000 in grant money to several HBCUs. Albany State University is not on that list but they will get federal funding.
The CARES Act set aside nearly 1.4 billion dollars in additional funding for HBCUs. Georgia Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock have also pledged to give more financial support.
