Police in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have cooperated to break up four illegal trading platforms with transactions worth hundreds of billions of dong. (VND100 billion = US$4.3 million).
Officers under the Hanoi Department of Public Security confirmed on Friday they had summoned 26 suspects involved in a racket that operated four illegal trading platforms including Rforex, Yaibroker, Vistaforex, and Exswiss.
Vu Dinh Hung and Pham Manh Hung, who reside in Ho Chi Minh City, and Pham Thi Thai from Hanoi were leading the racket.

Authorities in Hanoi have imposed stricter curbs by closing more entertainment and recreational facilities, including movie theaters, massage parlors, spa services, and gym centers.
The closure went into effect at 0:00 on Wednesday and will stay in place until further notice.
The suspension was drawn from the conclusion of Hanoi deputy chairman Chu Xuan Dung at a municipal meeting on COVID-19 prevention and control on Tuesday afternoon.
During the meeting, Dung requested people refrain from gathering in large numbers in public as the COVID-19 situation stays complicated in Hanoi despite the functional forces’ rapid response in the past few days.

The Hanoi Department of Public Security will mobilize 100 percent of their personnel to ensure around-the-clock safety during the upcoming 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Hanoi â The Hanoi Peopleâs Court on December 11 started the first-instance trial of the case on âappropriating confidential state documentsâ involving former Chairman of the Hanoi Peopleâs Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.
The one-day confidential state documentsâs sentences will be pronounced publicly.
Four defendants of the case related to Nhat Cuong Company include Nguyen Duc Chung, 53; Pham Quang Dung, 37, a former officer at the Police Department for Corruption, Smuggling and Economic Crimes under the Ministry of Public Security; Nguyen Hoang Trung, 37, a former officer of the Hanoi Department of Public Security and Chungâs driver; and Nguyen Anh Ngoc, 46, former deputy head of Cau Giay districtâs division of public security and assigned to work at the Hanoi Peopleâs Committeeâs Office.
