Abdur Razzak is no ordinary tree lover. He plants trees anywhere but on his own land, and he even took loan from the bank for the purpose to ensure a hospitable environment for future generations.
A resident of Dakhkhin Sinduna village in Hatibandha upazila, Razzak is married with two children. The 37-year-old holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hatibandha Alimuddin Degree College and supports his family from his modest income as an employee at a private firm. He tutors students after work to support his passion for trees.
4.81 lakh tonnes of wheat produced in Rajshahi division

RAJSHAHI, April 16, 2021 (BSS) – Farmers have harvested around 4.81 lakh tonnes of wheat in Rajshahi division supplementing the government efforts of ensuring food security amid the present adverse impact of Covid-19 pandemic.
The farmers got the wheat yield from about 1.32 lakh hectares of land in all eight districts under the division during the recent past harvesting season.
According to the official sources of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE), the growers were seen delighted while they got good yield as a result of favourable climatic conditions in the region, including its vast Barind tract.

RAJSHAHI, April 12, 2021 (BSS)- Most of the farming fields of Boro paddy with golden hue have become eye-catching at present predicting satisfactory yield everywhere in the region including its vast Barind tract.
Farmers are passing busy times in nursing the crops at the final stage of Boro farming as they are very much hopeful about getting cherished yield like the previous couple of seasons.
According to the sources concerned, farmers have cultivated Boro paddy on more lands compared to the previous season because they are delighted with the selling price of transplanted Aman paddy at present.
