National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has appealed to Islamic clerics (Ulama) to be in the forefront of the spiritual fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the commission, Alhaji Zikrullah Hassan, made the appeal at a meeting with Ulama, held at Hajj House, on Monday in Abuja. x
He said the meeting was organised to enable NAHCON interact and intimate clerics on its vision and activities as well as seek advice of the clerics on Hajj matters.
Hassan emphasised the need for clerics to sustain enlightenment on risk factors associated with COVID-19 pandemic with a view to curtail the spread of the virus.
Saudi Arabia denies rumours circulating about Umrah booking

They denied rumours that they were two time periods in which Umrah reservations could be made.
Saudi Arabian sources denied rumours that there were two time periods during which pilgrims could make reservations for Umrah; the first for the period (from 1-18 Ramadan) starting from 15 Sha ban, and the second for the period (from 19-30 Ramadan) on the 15th of Ramadan.

According to Al Bayan, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Haj and Umrah warned those who received the Umrah permit from the Eatmarna app against letting another person use it to perform Umrah instead of them. They stressed that this was illegal and against the terms of use of both the Eatmarna and Tawakkalnah Umrah apps.
Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry has issued an order ruling that only those who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 will be allowed to attend the Haj this year. According to Saudi newspaper Okaz, the Health Ministry order said, "The Covid-19 vaccine is mandatory for those willing to come to the haj and will be one of the main conditions (for receiving a permit to come)."
