3 projects approved for Hazara police, says official National February 13, 2021 MANSEHRA: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has given approval of three major projects for the Hazara police in order to make its policing more effective and vibrant, a senior official said on Friday. “The chief minister had given the approval of the police force deployment for the newly created Lower Kohistan and Kolai-Palas districts and the recruiting process will begin soon,” Mir Waiz Niaz, the deputy inspector general of police, told reporters. The DIG, who visited Mansehra for the first time since assuming his office earlier this month, said that the chief minister also gave the approval of enhancing the Haripur police’s existing strength and traffic wardens for the entire Hazara.

Under the new dress code, boys will be allowed to wear dress pants of blue or black colour, shalwar qameez, coat or jackets. They will not be allowed to wear shorts, cut-off jeans, skintight jeans, sports shoes, jeans or wristbands.

Transgender persons want protection law implemented National January 24, 2021 MANSEHRA: Nadra Khan, head of Hazara Transgender Association, has demanded the Police Department to ensure implementation of the protection law, which was passed by the National Assembly for the security of the community in the 2018. “The attack and killing of the transgender persons have increased in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in order to bring such cases to an end, the Police Department should ensure implementation of the transgender protection law in Hazara and rest of the province,” Nadra Khan told reporters here on Saturday. She said that the former district police officer Mansehra, Zaibullah Khan, had evolved a code of ethics for the safety of transgender persons in the district, which was yet be enforced.“According to an agreed code of conduct, owners of buildings, where the transgender persons living, would install the closed-circuit cameras,” said Nadra Khan.
