With that signature southern Utah heat coming back, it feels like St. Georgians are coming back to life. Traffic is bad again, more people are outside and wearing their sandals without socks again. We have reached the point of no return, to bad weather that is, hopefully. Cold weather made it easier to stay home and work while we ride out the rest of this pandemic, but now I m staring out my window like a sheltered Disney princess longing to be where the people are.

So many Americans have taken refuge in parks during the pandemic that 15 of them set recreation visitation records in 2020. All of the parks have adjusted their operations as a result of Covid-19, and with social-distancing protocols still in place almost a year later, there could be competition for campsites, ferry rides, programs and, in some cases, day passes at the most popular parks.

The Alabama Department of Public Health said the site at alcovidvaccine.gov will allow those eligible to make an appointment if shots are available in their county of choice. The portal also provides information about additional drive-thru and walk-in clinics being offered.
