PHOENIX Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. (KNX) on Wednesday reported first-quarter earnings of $129.8 million.
The Phoenix-based company said it had profit of 77 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 83 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 70 cents per share.
The trucking company posted revenue of $1.22 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.19 billion.
Knight-Swift expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.45 to $3.60 per share.
