Houston Texans Head Scratching Moves Could Continue

Say what you will about the Houston Texans (and if what you re saying has anything to do with front office ineptitude, head scratching decisions, or a poorly constructed roster, it s probably true), but they do manage to stay in the news and keep things spicy. Granted, it s the same way that a crackhead probably keeps things spicy for his or her parents, but it is truly never a dull moment. The dull moments will come when A.J. McCarron is the starting quarterback for this team. Since the end of the 2020 season, there have been no shortage of moments involving the Texans where the initial reaction was holy $%#& , and that s not just a small font, lowercase expletive. We are talking font size 72 and all caps. Maybe even BOLD, too! Let s quickly list just a few of the unexpected swerves that the Texans have given us in the last two months:

NFL Tracker: Texans Get Georgia CB in 3-Round Mock Draft

The Houston Texans have plenty of needs to fill and few picks to fill them within 2021, and it s time to take a look at who TexansDaily.com suggests the franchise should select. . and what the rest of the NFL world thinks, too

Houston Texans Roster Makeover Continues With More Cuts

San Francisco 49ers: What will Fred Warner s extension cost the Niners?

Photo by Daniel Shirey/Getty Images The 2020 NFL season was a forgettable one for the San Francisco 49ers. Injuries dashed the team’s Super Bowl hopes as the Niners failed to make the playoffs after winning the NFC in 2019. It wasn’t all doom-and-gloom for the franchise, though. One player who made great strides and gained attention from around the NFL is middle linebacker Fred Warner. The 24-year-old was named an AP first-team All-Pro for his efforts. The Niners took Warner in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. From finishing 4-12 in his rookie season to making it all the way to the Super Bowl in 2019, he has experienced both highs and lows during his short time dealing with this year s injury-filled season in the league.

Texans roster dominoes waiting to fall: J J Watt s departure just the beginning

Will the Texans re-sign wide receiver Will Fuller V? Through 11 games in 2020, it looked like Fuller was well on his way to proving he could not only stay healthy for a full season, but keep up his production and chemistry with Watson while doing so. And then in November, Fuller was suspended six games for violating the NFL s policy on performance-enhancing substances, meaning those questions about his durability are still unanswered. Fuller will also miss the first game of the 2021 season under the suspension. In the 11 games he did play in, Fuller had 53 catches for 879 yards and eight touchdowns. While Fuller was in line to sign a new deal averaging around $15 million a season, it seems more likely the receiver will sign a one-year, prove-it deal, especially in a season where the salary cap will decrease.
