The Stockton Record STOCKTON   A man is in custody on suspicion of murder after a 58-year-old woman was fatally stabbed inside a home in south Stockton on Tuesday, Stockton police reported. The slaying appears to be a case of domestic violence, Stockton police spokesman Officer Joe Silva said Wednesday. Police responding at about 5:39 p.m. to a home in the 2100 block of Del Playa Court discovered a woman who had been stabbed and a 58-year-old man, Santiago Soto, allegedly armed with a knife. The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she died, police said. Soto also had non-life-threatening self-inflicted injuries and was treated at a hospital before being booked on suspicion of murder, domestic violence and weapons charges. Online records show him living at a home on Del Playa.
